  Dr Kulkarni used to be my GP until I left the practise after a terrible experience with him. He tends to have every ailment you have be that migraines, diabetes etc, if youve got it hes had it and once youve got a diagnosis everything else you suffer is because of that one diagnosis and a live with it kind of attitude appears. This is in relation to several other patients of his who I know as well as myself. He once said to me Why are you stressed what have you got to be stressed about at your age (32)? At the time with a very high pressure job if he had been prepared to listen! When I saw him about long term chronic pain I suffer that was getting me down emotionally and I requested a referral to a pain specialist he said we are all pain specialists you dont need to be referred to someone to tell you how to deal with it. I became upset and he refused to let me leave until I stopped crying. The receptionist actually came in twice to check if everything was OK. He didnt want a patient to be seen leaving in tears but he didnt do anything to try to reassure me just told me about hoe much pain he is in. I was in there for 40 minutes and when he finally let me go he said dont think youll get this amount of time again! like he had done me a favour! I never returned and moved to a practise which has lovely doctors who are patient and have now seen to the fact I can live most of the time pain free.
